A Helpers Prayer Vigil

 pic

The Helper’s of God’s Precious Infants are a group of people committed to maintaining a loving and prayerful presence outside of the abortion mills where God’s children are put to death. We unite ourselves with these victims in solidarity with their pain, as they are put to death at this modern day Calvary. We pray in reparation for the injustice being performed on their tiny bodies. Just as Mary and John lovingly stood and prayed beneath Jesus’ Cross as he died, we wish to remain with these children in the hour that they are crucified.

We pray to obtain God’s mercy for the abortionist and his staff who do the killing. The message of the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants to the abortionist and all who help him to kill God’s children is that, though we love them, we will never accept what they do.

We plead with our voices for the lives of the babies being carried in by the pregnant women who have scheduled appointments with the abortionist that day. We ask each mother to change her mind. We reach out to her with the love of Christ; we do not judge nor condemn her for what she is planning to do. We simply promise her support and assistance if she should change her mind, and prayers for her healing and conversion if she should proceed with the killing of her child..

On May 18 we will mark 20 years that the Helpers have been in the Philadelphia archdiocese. The details are:

7am Mass  on Saturday, May 18th

St. John the Evangelist Church   13th & Market Sts.,  followed by a Rosary Pilgrimage to Planned Parenthood at 12th and Locust.

All are welcome.

The Helpers function in several local sites as well as most states and several foreign countries.  In Chester County, we conduct a vigil on the first Saturday of each month.  It starts with a Mass at 8 am at St. Agnes followed by a Rosary procession to Planned Parenthood at 8 S. Wayne St. in West Chester..

SPRING CAMPAIGN SUMMARY

40 Days For Life image

Wishing you a Blessed and Happy Easter Season,

We all faced together the cold weather and the rain during this 12th Campaign but when our sacrificed hours and prayers resulted in 659 babies being saved internationally, it all made sense. This campaign brings the total of little babies saved from needless and painful deaths to 7,408 since the beginning in 2007 when the first National 40 Days was held. We are truly changing the world and eternity.

At our closing celebration, Beverly White from Chester County Women Services shared with us that one of the babies that we saved during our last Fall 40 Days Campaign is due April 11th.

Between 40 Day for Life and Abby’s Johnson’s “And Then There Were None” dedication in helping those who wish to leave the death industry of abortion, 115+ workers are now working to save lives and no longer destroying lives in the abortion mills.

Our 40 Day for Life in Chester County helped a Registered Nurse find her place in the pro-life movement. Betty Rowe just learned about 40 Days and contacted me. We met in front of PP and I explained to her about our local campaign and our relationship with the pregnancy crisis centers as to how we are interdependent on each other. Betty is now another year round prayer warrior in front of PP and is donating her time and talents at the new Chester County Women Services Pregnancy Care Medical Center, 645 E. Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square which opened in March.

Julie Scromp also reported that a car pulled into PP (maybe a mom & her daughter). The young girl looked very upset. They only stayed a few minutes and then left. Whenever someone leaves PP it is a blessing. I am sure Julie’s presence made all the difference.

All of the above may never have happened if it was not for 40 Days. It takes every one of us to keep our 40 Days for Life in Chester County successful. Please continue to educate others on what you do as the more people involved the safer live becomes in our local communities and abroad.

The pro-abortion group NARAL may have elected a new president in an attempt to reshape its image as organization that connects with young Americans as opposed to its appearance as a group of old malcontent feminists.

That effort isn’t working yet.

As a new article in Roll Call points out, the NARAL public relations campaign is struggling to connect with the audience it needs to reach to expand beyond its left-wing base that supports abortion at any time for any reason.

One of the nation’s most prominent abortion rights groups is working to remake its image in response to concern that it may be overtaken by a growing cadre of young anti-abortion activists.

Its message: This is not your mother’s NARAL.

With Ilyse Hogue, a former senior staffer at Media Matters for America and MoveOn.org, freshly installed as its president, NARAL Pro-Choice America is more outwardly embracing its alliance with Democrats instead of fighting to win support from what it says is an increasingly hostile Republican Party. At the same time, it is warning that its opponents are more tenacious than ever in an effort to harness the energy of young voters who supported President Barack Obama. Hogue, 43, declined to be interviewed for this story.

“When I first got to NARAL, we had a lot more Republicans,” said NARAL Policy Director Donna Crane, who has been with the group for more than a decade. “We lobbied a lot more [GOP] offices.”

Not a single congressional Republican attended last week’s NARAL dinner in Washington, D.C., commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision, organizers said.

But some worry the movement has lost the gusto of its early days — and its clout on Capitol Hill. NARAL Pro-Choice America, a politically active nonprofit, spent $1.7 million in the 2012 cycle, up from slightly more than $500,000 in 2010, but NARAL’s political action committee contributed just less than $750,000 to Democratic candidates in 2012, continuing a steady decline from 2004 when it spent $3 million. Hogue, well-known in liberal Washington circles for her social-media savvy and fundraising acumen, could help boost the group’s electoral presence. She succeeds Nancy Keenan, who retired after heading the group for eight years.

The group spends comparatively little lobbying Congress, reporting just $170,000 in expenditures last year.

Dave Andrusko of the National Right to Life Committee has some thoughts on why NARAL has such a hard time connecting with anyone outside the most extreme cadre of abortion proponents.

The irony is hard to miss, as we’ve pointed out many times. NARAL is dusting off its “who decides?/it’s all so complicated” slogan from days gone by. So we could agree. This is not your mother’s NARAL. It’s your grandmother’s NARAL.

So, NARAL has been joined at the hip with the Democratic Party forever and a day but always at least has occasionally pretended otherwise. But how do you maintain that posture when you’ve just installed Ilyse Hogue as president, a genuine radical and “a former senior staffer at Media Matters for America and MoveOn.org” and other Democratic front groups? What’s your comeback when Lorber (accurately) observes that Hogue’s selection means “NARAL Pro-Choice America is more outwardly embracing its alliance with Democrats”?

You pretend that it’s all the fault of “an increasingly hostile Republican Party” whose membership (the story manages to convenient omit) you’ve torched.

Midway Celebration

MONDAY NIGHT * MARCH 11th * 7 PM in front of PP.
In honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we will have a prayer service that everyone can participate in together. Because of who Our Lady is and all that she has done for the Americas, I am asking that anyone who has an image, statue, picture or banner of Our Lady of Guadalupe to bring it with you. Our Lady’s image has been circulating in our communities and it would be a blessing for the unborn to continue our devotion to her in behalf of the unborn. This is an opportunity to bring more awareness to those that pass by and hopefully increase devotion to her. If you don’t have an image of Our Lady, I do have small pictures of her to pass out. Come help spread her love.

St. Joseph’s Feast Day

MARCH 19TH * TUESDAY * 12 NOON TO 8 PM Vigil hours. Tuesday is the day that the babies’ lives are ended. Faithful prayer warriors are in front of PP every Tuesday from 8 AM to Noon. So in honor of St. Joseph, I am asking that the Knight of Columbus, the King’s Men and all other men who are able to continue these faithful prayers from Noon No one can change what happened that morning but maybe the men who brought their children to have them eliminated from their lives will notice that men do care about women because they are men and it might inspire these men to have a change of heart toward life and love and relationships.

Closing Celebration

Palm Sunday March 24th at 2 PM, we will pray the Stations of the Cross in front of Planned Parenthood.
Just as Jesus was crucified for being born the Son of God, these babies are killed for innocently being conceived. We need not go to Jerusalem to see the place where Jesus’ Blood was shed. ” What you do to the least of My brethren, you do unto Me” in West Chester.

Besides giving thanks for God’s only Son’s sacrifice, we give thanks for each and everyone one of you as without you there would be no 12th campaign and 30 babies, that we know of, in West Chester saved. Stations also gives us the opportunity to remind the community that Easter is about more than chocolate bunnies. Please join us in giving thanks for all the babies saved during this Campaign that was held in 261 cities world wide.

Thank you for your sacrifice of time in behalf of the unborn.

Parking Issues

The gas station that faces Market St. has changed hands. The new resident is starting up a used car dealership. He is very adamant that we do not park on his property whether he is open for business or not. We can still park on the parking area in front of the mechanic shop facing Planned Parenthood , if it is closed. Also, if you choose to park on the street remember to notice the signs at the ends of the streets as that is the only place “permit parking” signs are located. It doesn’t seem that there are any signs between the two ends. It costs $2 to park in the garage.
