Dear 40 Days for Life Participant,
While our hearts and prayers go out to all those who have been experiencing losses and hardships of many kinds this past year, I would be remiss given the attention given to Covid-19 (both case numbers and deaths) if I did not point out that once again in the World and the US, abortion remains the leading cause of death. As I began typing this brief article in the early afternoon of 12/16, approximately 827,250 babies have been brutally killed via abortion this year, and 343,220 of those were at Planned Parenthood. As I finish up, those death counts are now at 827,308 and 343,244 and counting.
Billions of tax dollars have not been utilized to stop these fully preventable deaths and our citizens and businesses have not been called to extraordinary measures and self-sacrifice to bring an end to this daily genocide. In fact, it continues to be the exact opposite.
Planned Parenthood was designated an essential business while life-sustaining small businesses were told to stop operating. Millions of dollars every day get poured into
Planned Parenthood abortion mills, and there are no daily updates on the numbers of abortion-vulnerable women and babies at risk for slaughter, nor daily death counts heralded by our media and news outlets. Abortion is not only the number one leading cause of death, but the gravest human rights violation of our time in terms of scale and brutality, but you would never know this given the broad level of silence.
We cannot lend tacit approval to this ongoing legalized genocide and allow it to go on hidden and unchallenged cloaked in deception and euphemisms day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. We have the continued opportunity to shine light in this
darkest corner of our society by peacefully and prayerfully standing outside the doors of these killing mills and taking part in exposing the darkness.
The spring 40 Days for Life Campaign begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17th and runs through Palm Sunday, March 28th. Would you please consider participating over this 40 Day time frame in prayer and fasting, community outreach, and peaceful vigil standing in the gap for these precious image bearers of God and working toward bringing an end to abortion in West

Our goal is to have two people present for each of the 12 hours in peaceful vigil from 7am – 7pm, Mon. – Sat. and this requires a small army of volunteers – 816 to be exact. Your help is needed and greatly appreciated “for the least of these.”
